Most people use AI by prompting, copying the answer and finishing the rest themselves. Stepanus Kawihardja argues this is the wrong mindset for agents, which are not smarter chatbots. A prompt is like steering a new driver turn by turn, while an agent receives a goal and carries out the whole task, adapting when something goes wrong. He explains what sits inside an agent and the OODA loop, and gives a filter for choosing tasks: autonomous, recurring and reviewable.
